A little help from my friends

So, here's the situation, when Maren moved out to Indiana we left the scooter in the possession of one of her friends. Now I don't have anything against her friend . . . but I would trust one of you guys with it a lot more. So, if any of you are willing to look after my scoot for a while (and I have to be honest I don't know how long of a while it will be until I either sell it of find a miraculous way to get it out here) you are free to use it if you give it a home, don't wreck it, and provide an little bit of shelter when winter comes. It's insured and registered so that won't be an expense for you. Anyway, if anyone if willing to help me out on this let me know via the blog and I will contact you about the particulars. Peace out.

Helene and I witnessed one of the best shows I have ever been to; way out at the saltair. We saw Muse. I don't know about most of you (besides J- Knut) but I have not been to a concert for some time. It was bout it to feel the heavy beats, so heavy it felt as if my esophagus was going to collapse. I am also a little sore from the mosh pit. All in all it was a really good show. Are all of you familiar with muse?

I know you didn't believe it . . .

. . . but it's true: I'm engaged. This is most likely going to be our invitation picture. Please keep the mockery to a minimum. Anyway, I'd appreciate it if each of you would post your address in the commentary so I can eventually send you an invite. The wedding will be November 24th in St. Paul Minnesota with the reception that evening. We'll do an openhouse in Utah on December 30th at my parent's place in Alpine. Oh, and does anybody have Ronnie Stickney's address?

So the other day at Petsmart...

So the other day at Petsmart i'm standing behind a short black fellow at the checkout. He's with these two full-size ladies, and when I see his profile, it was like "Oh gosh! that's Gary Coleman!" So I start mouthing and pointing (while trying not to point) "Kristen, that's Gary Coleman!" But she didn't know who he was and before I could say "what 'choo you talkin' 'bout Willis?" he was climbing into a huge Ford with the ladies. Apparently his cameo in Church Ball brought him to Utah and he now lives in a suburb similar to Hollywood, Santaquin. Oh, by the way he looked stoned. Don't believe me?

Ryan, I checked out LastFM a long time ago and finally signed up today. So, pretty much it's just cool 'cause you can check out what each other are listning to? Seems alright. I installed the itunes plugin so you can make fun of me when I listen to Mariah. I wonder if my nerdy podcasts will show up in there? I don't know if you've ever checked out Pandora but I love it for finding music. It learns what you want in various stations as you use it but it doesn't do any of the social stuff.

It's high time that I make my presence felt on this blog. And since I'm used to making my presence felt by farting and I cant' do that here, I think I will post. Two nights ago Maren and I ascended to the IU auditorium to attend a concert. The visiting artist was none other than the Godfather of Soul, the Hardest Working Man in Show Business, Soul Brother Number 1, James Brown. One word can describe the show gentlemen; funkalicious!!!! The show was great. He treated us with favorites such as Get on the Good Foot, I Feel Good, and Living in America. My favorite part of the evening was his closing, ten-minute rendition of Sex Machine. Fellas, I am now fulfilled. I have seen the light. I wish you could have all been there.

Yes, I miss you fellas, and it's hard to get back to the motherland very often. Things can get pretty boring in D.C. where if you're not in politics, you're in law. It's actually pretty sweet here though. I promise, there's more to do here than just the monuments. I've been working in the typical Corporate America setting for too long already (what's left of America's white-colar workforce has been taken over by the Indians and Chinese -- we lost the war that never began!). I have way to much free time at work... I'm on the clock as I'm typing this. I check the blog every 10 min. to see if anyone's posted a comment or has viewed my profile. I need help! I'm just joking... no but seriously.

Anyway, SLC is tight. I'm just taking a little break from Dynamics. School is killing me but somehow it'll all come out ok. I'm glad we're getting this little collaborative effort together. I think the word "blog" is one of the stupidest words ever created though.
Taylor, what are you and Helene up to this weekend? We should get together with the Harms and go out.

It was good to hear from you Ry guy. I am diggin the choco cabage doll. Graham do you still have it?? Not much new for Helene and I. I am still pluggin away at the undergrad. I have applied to grad schools for dental school but have not yet been invited for any interviews. I did pretty well on the DAT but bombed my math section and therefore plan to retake it in Oct.
Harm told me all about his worries of being booted out of law school for being associated with Christian bandley and grinding picknic tables on bikes and shi. Harm you still with it? Hey man lets get some golf together again. And for that matter mabey we could get a crew together for a couple rounds before the snow falls. Let me know if yall are down and we can set it up for one of the upcoming weekends. eh?? Sorry not money pics at the moment for your enjoyment.

So I know that rich and ben already have blogs themselves (and probably others), link your personal blog to this one. Anyway, I saw Jake and Hook over the weekend and we discussed the possibility of a blog and so I went ahead with it. I don't have Lance's, Ammon's or Jake's emails so if you do then let them know about this blog. Post a soccer games, escalante trips, a new band you like, pictures old and new, really whatever. Rich, post your engagement picture and Graham post your treasure maps...that sort of thing.
